LOMBARDY RELEASES CATEGORY FIVE SINGLE, 'HURRICANE'
THIRD RELEASE REALIZES BANDS PLAN OF BEING AMERICA'S NEXT ROCK 'N ROLL POWERHOUSE
Following the incredible grassroots success of their debut and sophomore singles, Nashville-based Lombardy has released their latest single, 'Hurricane', to all digital streaming platforms.
Snarling guitar riffs reminiscent of 90s alt. rock bands such as Pearl Jam and Rage Against The Machine, paired with evocative lyrics ("Caught in the middle of her wild rage/All my walls fall, the sand is blown away/till the storm dies, and the waves break/can't be stopped, can't be tamed/she's a Hurricane") and vocals reminiscent of Heartland rockers such as Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen perfectly encapsulate the ferocity the track is meant to convey. By fusing the best elements of various sub-genres of Rock, the Lombardy boys continue dominating the path to becoming America's next pure Rock 'n Roll powerhouse.
Within its first week of release, the track garnered thousands of streams on Spotify and received positive reactions from press. In a premiere of the track, Chalkpit said: "Blowing a gale into the world of alt-rock, Lombardy are back with their riotous new single, 'Hurricane'. This new release will leave you chasing Lombardy’s hurricane and revelling in all that’s left in its wake.”
'Hurricane' is now available to stream on all digital streaming platforms. Watch the official music video below!
Jonathan Plevyak (Vocals, Guitar)
Mike Scott (Vocals, Guitar)
Nick Stafford (Bass)
Ryan Rasmussen (Drums)
Consisting of Jonathan Plevyak, Mike Scott, Nick Stafford, and Ryan Rasmussen, Lombardy was formed in September 2020 during an evening out celebrating Rasmussen’s 19th birthday over pizza and Rage Against The Machine. All the boys have their own solo careers/projects, but thought it would be rewarding and fun to start a collective project bringing together a new sound in rock music. Eight songs written and a recording session in Florida later, Lombardy and their upcoming debut LP was born!
